This Privacy Policy explains how StoryBound Tech LLC ("StoryBound," "GameBound," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the GameBound website and the table-side games we provide to restaurants and their guests (collectively, the "Services"). GameBound is a small digital playground for the table — quick, quiet games designed for two players sharing one phone.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

We designed GameBound to collect as little personal information as possible. We do not require guests to create accounts, and we do not process payments through the Services.

• Information you send us directly. When a restaurant or partner contacts us through our website form, your email client sends us the name, email address, and message you choose to include. We receive this information only if you choose to send the message.
• Game settings stored on your device.Game and display preferences are saved in your own browser's local storage (for example, under a gb_settings key scoped to a restaurant). This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
• Basic technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability purposes.

We use the limited information we receive to:

• Respond to inquiries and set up branded experiences for restaurants;
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
• Protect the security and integrity of the Services; and
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

GameBound uses your browser's local storage to remember game and display settings so the experience works smoothly. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings, though doing so will reset your saved preferences.

We share information only in limited circumstances:

• Service providers. We rely on trusted vendors — such as hosting and infrastructure providers — who process information on our behalf to operate the Services.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of StoryBound, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including secure (HTTPS) connections, to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

GameBound is intended to be enjoyed by families at the table, but the Services are directed to and managed by adults (such as restaurant operators and accompanying guardians). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at support@gamebound.app and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we collect so little, in most cases the simplest way to exercise these rights is to contact us at support@gamebound.app. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
